Lemur, a stunning dog, had endured years of abuse. Unkind people failed to comprehend that animals hurt just like humans do. Lemur merely want love and a life full of playfulness, treats, and affection, much like a dog deserves. Lemur had already sustained a great deal of harm when he was found, but rescuers didn’t lose up on him.
His foster mother had faith that he would find his permanent family even after he was saved but rejected on adoption day.

THEN… he did! The perfect family, with a beautiful home and other Whippet siblings to play. Things were really looking up! Lemur got to be a real dog.

He didn’t have to worry about being fed or cared for! The hands that touched him were only filled with love and kindness. LOVE, just for him!

But then, a month later, his health started to deteriorate quickly. He simply endured too much abuse. It was too late to undo the extensive damage that had already been done. However, he died in his human’s arms, surrounded by so much love and gratitude.

Even though it was only for a brief period of time and even though it passed too quickly, his human was incredibly grateful that Lemur entered their lives. As Lemur crossed the Rainbow Bridge, he did so with love and dignity, remembering only that month filled with happiness, kindness and love.
